Athletic training played a defining role in my past, with health and nutrition being at the top of this game. Meaning, having a well functioning body has been an important facet of my life as an athlete. This process has been evolving ever since being a competitor in the sports world, and now that I have left the competition behind, health can be focused on my personal well being and development, as a more well rounded goal of pursuing balance in mind, body and soul.

I found organic and whole foods in my college years, while desiring to improve my performance as a cross country and track athlete. I came to a point where my body was imbalanced in hormones, weight, and overall clarity. So I needed to make a shift. Here I found the local Co-Op, where i found whole organic foods. My performance as a runner started to improve, since I had more energy, less disturbance in my belly, and less weight to carry. Though this balance would not continue to thrive over time. I began to have issues with allergic reactions to my food, and discovered my allergy to wheat products a few years later. The need to consume larger than normal amounts of food, for an athlete, can potentially cause problems relating to allergies and the like. Too much food in the system cannot be handled, especially with an imbalanced gut flora. This, I discovered, was much more important than anyone seems to realize, especially in the athletic world.

On to the discovery of raw food. Since I could not eat any more wheat, I had to find foods that were more whole, and real. From this I found the Green Smoothie concept, and began eating massive amounts of greens.
This changed my whole perspective on health. I felt incredible, and clean. Greens were not something I ever focused on. Now they constituted a large portion of my diet, and I felt great! Running was easier, with better recovery, more sustained energy, and no blood sugar issues. Adding more and more raw foods to my nutritonal profile was incredible, and highly cleansing. What i didn't know though, was there can be a limit to this, where a shift needs to take place. My body was attempting to clean itself of the junk I had accumulated while intensly working as a competative athlete. The cells drive everything more efficiently into your body tissues when you are opening your lymph by working out, so health is truly essential while intensly working the body. My lymph needed a new kind of movement, now being clogged with all the particulates that were being forced out of the tissue, by eating cleansing raw foods. Wow! I discovered a few things here. I wasn't cleansing properly because my lymph was clogged, i had amalgam fillings that were continuously offgasing mercury into my mouth and body, and the stress i had become accustom to was making the cleansing process incomplete.
The first issue I needed to take care of was removing my amalgam fillings, no serious cleansing should be attempted unless you remove these, in my opinion. The tissue will only become more deeply penetrated with heavy metals when you clean your body and continously have this pouring into your system, since now your body will be more receptive to the elements. Becoming clean comes with much discernment. Where to live, air to breathe, sensitivities to the quality of food. Is this clarity worth it? I can vouch for myself, that being in a clear body is worth all the challenge and work that goes into creating this environment for clarity.

So I removed the Amalgams, with some difficulties and issues I never could have imagined, but they were out.
That is the reality of what really needed to take place. With the amalgams gone, now I needed to clear all the accumulations of heavy metals that had built up in my system.
A few tools that hastened the process were medicardium (EDTA), massive amounts of chlorella and cilantro, and focused mind. I continue to release these toxic elements from my body, and am grateful for the opportunity.
Now there is a need to remineralize my system with organic minerals from superfoods, herbs, and other highly nutritous foods. Superfood smoothies with cacao and herbal teas are one efficient way to begin this process. Nothing has seemed to work more efficiently or fully than probiotics and additional protein, in the form of raw dairy, some local sustainable eggs, B-complex supplements, D3 supplements and a mindful awareness of the body's actual hunger.
My Gut is being healed, and now I am able to more fully absorb all the minerals I put into my system. Herbal medicine now feels like it actually works! As I continue to flow with the intuitive sense of what my body requires I will come to levels of health I never could imagine. I love this Life.
